The Department of Church Music was established to train students called into church music for the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel, and for educating and vitalizing the life of worship within the church. The Department affirms the importance of the role of Church musicians, and it is constantly seeking to develop its program. Church music majors are trained upon a solid theological foundation with a curriculum that balances theology and the practice of worship and music, with theory and an applied major, while pursuing a general education in the process. With excellent faculty members, facilities, and instructive classes, the program is leadingthe way for a new encompassing perspective of church and church music.
